During these challenging times, it is important to support our neighbors in need. Since Covid-19 has disrupted the event industry and increased Bay Area unemployment rates, we’ve shifted our focus from events to community outreach through food stability and donation programs.
During the month of May 2020, Facebook partnered with various restaurants by purchasing & donating over 10,000 meals to frontline workers, nonprofits & schools. We are proud to have continued this program throughout the pandemic and have purchased & donated 44,322 restaurant meals for those in need. In addition, our ongoing Community Mobile Market, donates over 1,600 farm bags per week to local nonprofits for distribution to at risk families.

Friday Family Meals Food Distribution – Summer 2021
In partnership with Meta Culinary and Ravenswood School District, we provided freshly-cooked & ready to heat family meals to those in need in the areas surrounding Ravenswood School District. In addition to a healthy meal for a family of four, the Community Mobile Market distributed a Farm Box including organic produce and grocery essentials.
